In 2012, Nike became the NFL’s official uniform provider. So at the NFL Draft, we partnered with Nike to not only brand the event, but to announce draft picks as they were chosen, using digital versions of the new players’ jerseys.
To make this happen, we designed a graphic workflow that involved creating assets for every combination of player and team design. This allowed us to match players’ names with the teams that chose them, as they were picked.
In just four weeks, we delivered over 1000 broadcast-ready video files. Nike was able to show fans what their new teammate’s jersey would look like almost instantly, and we got a taste of what it’s like to be on the edge of your seat on Draft Day.
